During law school, Mr. McDonald was a Line Editor and Sub-citer on the Journal of Law and Technology. Mr. McDonald was also the Chair of the Board for Harvard Law Drama Society’s (a.k.a. “Parody”) annual production. As part of the Veterans Law and Disability Benefits Clinic, Mr. McDonald successfully argued a discharge upgrade for a client in front of the Army Discharge Review Board.
Prior to starting his legal career, Mr. McDonald was both a soldier and a steelworker. In the Army, Mr. McDonald reached the rank of Captain and served in various positions such as Company Commander at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Intelligence Officer in Afghanistan, and Cyber Intelligence Officer at U.S. Army Cyber Command Headquarters. As a steelworker, Mr. McDonald worked at Nucor Steel Seattle where he was a crane operator and furnace utility, tending to a 2800-degree furnace filled with 75 tons of molten steel.
