Lee Matalon helps the world’s most prolific innovators protect and defend their inventions and intellectual property. His practice focuses on litigating complex IP, technology, and licensing disputes in federal courts nationwide. Lee’s litigation experience spans a variety of high-technology fields, including mobile telecommunications, wearables, VR/AR, industrial design, and the computer and software arts. 
 
Before joining Desmarais LLP, Lee was a law clerk to Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the Eastern District of Texas in Marshall, Texas.  During law school, Lee was a Notes Editor for the Texas Law Review, and a teaching assistant to Professor Lucas A. Powe, Jr.  He was also a student member of the Hon. Lee Yeakel IP Inn of Court. Lee received the Louis T. Pirkey Prize for writing in IP law and the Dean’s Achievement Award in Evidence, Intellectual Property, and Negotiation. At Rutgers University, Lee’s senior capstone project was recognized with a “Top Ten” award by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
