Ms. Owens attended Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as part of the Cardozo Scholars Program, where she graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Ms. Owens served as an Articles Editor of the Cardozo Law Review, a law journal dedicated to advancing empirical, interdisciplinary, and philosophical scholarship, as well as exploring cutting-edge national issues. She spent a summer in Washington, D.C. where she was part of the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Experience Extern Program. She was named a 2018 David Berg Public Interest Fellow for her time at the USPTO. She was also an extern for a semester at Gottlieb, Rackman & Reisman, a New York based intellectual property law firm. She is the recipient of the faculty-selected Intellectual Property Award for outstanding performance in the field of Intellectual Property, and a member of the Order of the Coif.
