Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) has selected John Desmarais, founding partner of Desmarais LLP, as a Fellow in its trial lawyer honorary society. The LCA is an invitation-only organization, which limits its membership to 3,500 Fellows, a total of less than one-half of a percent of all American attorneys.
“Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation,” according LCA’s criteria for inclusion.
The LCA has a stated goal of reflecting the “new face of the American bar” and recognizing “excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar.” In addition to its core membership of trial lawyers, the LCA includes Judicial Fellows, Academic Fellows, Legislative Fellows, and In-House Counsel Fellows.
