LMG Life Sciences has selected John Desmarais, founding partner of Desmarais LLP, to the shortlist for the 2020 General Patent Litigator of the Year Award (New York).
The annual award recognizes an industry-leading patent litigator for work handling matters involving pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and other life sciences patent litigation. In the past year, Desmarais, who was named to the shortlist along with six others, has led high-profile patent infringement cases involving HIV and hypertension drugs and medical devices for diagnostics and pain management.
LMG Life Sciences’ annual awards highlight law firms and lawyers in North America that specialize in the life sciences industry and recognize their accomplishments in four main categories – Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Financial and Corporate, and Non-IP Litigation and Enforcement.
Previously, LMG Life Sciences named Desmarais LLP the 2019 Intellectual Property Firm to Watch. LMG Life Sciences will announce the 2020 award winners on September 23.
