The 2021 Patexia IPR Intelligence Report has ranked Desmarais LLP as one of the top – and most active – firms handling inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
The research report found that during the past five years Desmarais LLP achieved an 86% performance score for patent owners in 68 cases before the PTAB. Desmarais LLP also ranked among the 50 most active firms handling IPR proceedings, representing patent owners and petitioners in a total of 119 cases, according to the Patexia report.
Additionally, Patexia recognized firm Partners Yung-Hoon (Sam) Ha and Gabrielle Higgins and Of Counsel Theodoros Konstantakopoulos as among the top 100 most active attorneys representing petitioners and patent owners in IPR cases.
The Patexia 2021 IPR Intelligence Report, which published in September 2021, analyzed a total of 7,582 IPR filings from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2021. The research report assessed the success of more than 900 law firms and their attorneys in their representations of about 2,600 companies in these IPR proceedings.
