Managing IP recognized Desmarais LLP in five shortlist categories for its Americas Awards 2024, highlighting its success in the district and appellate courts, before the International Trade Commission, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
The 19th annual Managing IP Americas Awards are based on a months-long research process that includes reviewing thousands of firms and attorneys, gathering client feedback, and analyzing public case records. The awards seek to honor the industry’s leading intellectual property practitioners and their accomplishments during the prior 12 months. Desmarais LLP’s recent victories include a $57 million verdict for Ravgen against Natera; a $100 million enhanced damages award for Ravgen following a trial victory against Labcorp for a total win of $372.5 million; a clean sweep against 10 inter partes review challenges to Ravgen’s patents before the PTAB; a summary judgment win for Intel against a lawsuit implicating multibillion-dollar patent claims; and a victory for OPEX Corporation before the ITC that blocked the importation of a competitor’s warehouse automation products into the U.S.
