Notable Successes

Nicole Lancia has joined Desmarais LLP as chief operating officer, overseeing day-to-day operations across the firm’s three offices, including leading its marketing, human resources, facilities, staff management, recruiting, and benefits teams.
 
Ms. Lancia started with the firm on October 24, 2022, and she is based in the New York Office. Desmarais LLP was founded in 2010 and now has more than 100 employees, including about 75 attorneys, across its New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices. In the newly created COO position, Ms. Lancia will focus on strengthening synergies across these offices and working with the firm’s chief financial officer and chief information officer to manage operations and develop strategies to achieve the firm’s long-term goals. These efforts will include focusing on the firm’s objectives related to growth, attorney recruiting and development, staff and attorney efficiency and working relationships, and supporting key diversity and inclusion initiatives.
 
With more than 20 years spent in staff-support roles at major law firms in the industry, Ms. Lancia brings a strong background and key skills to the COO role. Her experience includes extensive knowledge of operations, human resources, and attorney recruitment, as well as a proven track record of leading teams and streamlining processes within firms. Ms. Lancia holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University at Albany, SUNY.
